GANNA-MARKS 6

It  indicates compatibility on the basis of nature. All human beings are classified into three kinds of temperament's of  Ganna i.e. Sathvikas 2. Rajasas and 3. Thamasas.The nakshetra have been divided in three groups as given below:-

                     1 .DEVA( DEVTA)- Aswini, Margsira,Punarvasu,  Pushya, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Sravana and Revati.

                    2.  MANUSHY(Human being)  -  Rohini, Bharni, Aridara,Uttra Phaguni, Uttra-Sadha, Uttra-Bhadrapada, P.Phaguni, P.Sadha, and P.Bhadra.                                                                                               3.Rakshas(Devils)  :-  Aswini, Aslesha, Makha, Chitra,Vishakha, Jaystha , Moola,  Dhanishta and Satbhishag.

Example 1: The match is very good if both boy and girl are of same gana. 

Husband: DOB: 18-09-1951, TOB: 8:30 A.m., POB: kaithal (Haryana)

Wife: DOB: 04-03-1952, TOB: 17:55 PM, POB: Narnaul (Haryana)

Here, both husband and wife are of Deva gana. Hence the match is very good.

Example 2: If boy is of manushya gana and girl of dev gana, they get 5 marks out of 6. The match is good. even for vice versa, the match is good.

Husband: DOB: 24-04-1982, TOB: 06:20 PM, POB: Chandigarh

Wife: DOB: 16-10-1987, TOB: 08:35 Am, POB: Shimla (H.P.)

Here, the boy is of manushya gana and girl of dev gana.

Example 3: A boy of deva or manushya gana should not marry a girl of rakshasa gana because the match will not be good in such a case.

Boy: DOB: 25-12-1975, TOB: 22:52:00 PM, POB: Palampur (H.P.)

Girl: DOB: 25-02-1977, TOB: 17:22 PM, POB: Kaithal (Haryana)

Here, the boy is of deva gana and the girl of rakshasa gana. Hence the match is not good.
