As per tradition Hindu marriage act or rule, the horoscope match making must be made by family. Hindu marriage is a religious sacrament. Hindu vedic Dharma implies good conduct performing the various karma's prescribed by Vedas and shasthra.

Thus bringing the total to 36 Gunas.

          A Per " Muhuratha "  12 kutas are to be considered. 8 kutas as above and  four in addition kutas viz Streedeergha, Rajju, Vedha and Mahendra.                     

DESCRIPTION OF  KUTAS:

1. DINAM:- The presence of Dine Kuta agreement ensures that the husband and wife remain healthy and free from diseases and will all  facility and long life.           2. GANAM:- This  kuta is sobhana karma or compatible sex life. Some other views said that it is actually matching of  human minds  and termperament seems to be accepted by all as the correct sense.

3. RAJJU:- It means rajju porutham ensures good mangalya balam by enhancing considerably the longevity of the husband. It is very important.

4. VEDHA:- Vedha means affliction. It is agreement that wards off all the evils and pitfalls in married life. A happy and prosperous married life is assured as a result of vedha matching.
